Attire

 

Students are expected to wear proper dance attire to all of their dance classes. This includes proper dress (please see below) and hair tied securely away from their face in a bun. Students should not wear any jewelry. It is important to dress properly for every class in order for the teacher to properly assess posture and technique. The following provides the basic attire for each type of class:

TINY TOTS

  • Pink, blue, or black solid color bodysuit
  • Pink microfiber tights
  • Matching color skirt
  • Pink leather ballet slippers

KINDER-COMBO

  • Pink, blue, or black solid color bodysuit
  • Pink tights
  • Matching color skirt
  • Pink leather ballet slippers
  • Black tie-up tap shoes

PRE-PRIMARY & PRIMARY BALLET

  • Pink sleeveless bodysuit
  • Pink ballet skirt
  • Pink leather ballet slippers (full sole)

GRADE 1-5 BALLET

  • Navy scooped neck sleeveless bodysuit
  • Navy waist elastic
  • Pink microfiber tights
  • Pink leather ballet slippers (full sole)
  • Character shoes (black canvas)

GRADE 6-8 BALLET

  • Black bodysuit
  • Pink microfiber tights
  • Pink leather ballet slippers (spilt sole)
  • Black canvas character shoes

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED BALLET

  • Black sleeveless Mondor bodysuit
  • Black waist band
  • Pink microfiber tights
  • Soft blocs with pink ribbons
  • Pink pointe shoes with pink ribbons

TAP & JAZZ        

  • Solid color bodysuit
  • Black jazz pants, capris or booty shorts
  • Beige or black shimmer tights
  • TAP—black tap shoes (must have elastics not ribbons)
  • JAZZ—beige or black oxfords

*Clothing must not be baggy so that it does not hide the dancer’s body

HIP HOP

  • Clean, indoor runners
  • Jazz pants
  • Bodysuit

ACRO

  • Bare feet & clean/indoor runners for cardio
  • Solid color bodysuit
  • Tight capris or booty shorts
  • NO socks or lose fitting clothing
  • Hair must be in a flat bun or pinned up pony tail
