Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams

TPDS has been participating in ballet exams through the Royal Academy of Dance since 2001. The Royal Academy of Dance offers a wide range of exams and assessments to motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities. Their focus is on creativity and musicality, with the Graded System (Primary to Grade 8) providing opportunities to progress and achieve. All candidates who successfully pass an examination or award receive a certificate of achievement and a breakdown of their result. Some grades and awards also offer medals. The Vocational Graded Syllabus develops the technique, music and performance skills of the older ballet student to an advanced level, preparing them for a dance or dance-related career.

QUALIFIED DANCE TEACHERS

All RAD Registered teachers hold a recognized dance teaching qualification. This means that you can be confident in their dance knowledge and teaching ability, including what is developmentally appropriate at every stage of a child’s learning.

YOUR CHILD IN SAFE HANDS

We recommend that all our teaching members have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Disclosure Scotland or similar international organizations. Every teacher on our register is expected to adhere to our Code of Professional Practice which outlines an ethos of integrity, competence and professionalism.
