Turning Pointe is a well-established dance studio proudly celebrating 25 years of service in the Crowsnest Pass and Pincher Creek area. We are thrilled to have been awarded the Small Business of the Year and continually strive for excellence in teaching and developing dancers within our communities and beyond.
Our studio features three dance studios and offers a wide range of classes, including ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tap, pointe, acro, contemporary, and acting! Our experienced instructors are dedicated to continuous professional development, ensuring they bring innovative and up-to-date dance techniques and knowledge to our students.
Classes are available for ages 18 months through to adults! At Turning Pointe, we take pride in offering three distinct programs to accommodate the needs of all families: Sessional (8-12 weeks with optional performance), Full-Year (September to May programming with optional performances), and Competitive (which includes mandatory ballet classes twice a week and participation in 1-2 competitions each year).
We are also proud to offer Acrobatic Arts, Twinkle Star Dance, Acro Dance Preschool, Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams, and Progressing Ballet Technique.
In our competitive program, we participate in various dance competitions and festivals throughout Southern Alberta each year. Additionally, we have engaged in exciting extracurricular events such as Disney Dance the Magic, Triple Threat Workshops in Calgary, Los Angeles Dance Workshops, and sessions with Tara Jean (winner of SYTYCD Canada Season 2). In July 2015, Turning Pointe had the incredible opportunity to travel to New York City, where we attended dance classes and performed a street mob dance in Times Square!
